National Union of Bank Employees (NUBE) are submitting a petition for “90

Days for Mum” campaign, requesting to the government to increase existing

paid maternity leave from 60 days to 90 days and they’re collecting 1

million signature to submit to the government, and the petition will close

by 6th June.



If you didn’t know already, Malaysia is among lowest in Statutory maternity

leave in Southeast Asia:



· Singapore – 112 days (16 weeks)

· Thailand – 90 days (3 months)

· Cambodia – 90 days

· Indonesia – 90 days

· Malaysia – 60 days
